Elizabeth "Betty" A. (Stuyvenberg) Ludwig, age 87, mother, wife, sister and friend, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Little Chute Healthcare, Little Chute, Wisconsin.
Betty was born on November 19,1935 in Kimberly the Henry and Elizabeth (Plesser) Stuyvenberg. Betty attended and graduated from Kimberly High School. She was united in marriage to Ken Martin
on June 30,1956 and they spent 18 years together before he passed away. She was lucky enough to find another great man, Bob Kramer and they were married 18 years until his passing. She was yet blessed again to find her last husband, Jim Ludwig, and they as well were married 18 years until his passing.
Betty was known for her wedding cakes, her famous cookies for every holiday! She always cooked enough for an army. She had a laugh that was so infectious, everyone was laughing, no matter where she was. She was so loved by everyone, and such a caring beautiful lady! She loved camping, playing cards with her family, loved the casino, and shopping! Loved going for a burger and beer with great friends and neighbors, Theresa, Karen, Linda, Sally, Bonnie, Nancy, Judy and Bonnie She was a great cook and baker always sharing with neighbors and family and The Children's Giving Tree. Betty came from a family of 10.
Betty is survived by her 3 children: Linda (George) Moench, Jim Martin, Lori (Bob) Olson, Wendy (Curt) Castell and Debbie Overstreet; 12 grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye: Nichole (Rich)Daley, Matthew Behnke (Lori Sears) Ken Martin,
Nate(Emily)Olson, Luke Olson(Fiance Brittany), Rachel Castell(Mike), Calvin Castell, Mallerie Daley, Evan Daley, Jessica Overstreet, Morgan (Alondra) Avalos Romero, George Moench; 8 great-grandchildren: Richie (Cari), Brianna, Desmond, Isabella, Cheyanne, Alexys, Jackson and, her newest, whom she met at 1 week old, Ayla Rose; siblings: Mary (Larry) Vander Pas and Eugene (Jeanne and Carol); siblings-in-law: Nancy, Pat, Karen Stuyvenberg, Tom and Ethel Martin, Sylvia Martin Lafferty, Stan (Vonnie)Martin and James and Joann Martin;
numerous nieces and nephews (who called Bettytheir favorite Aunt!); and many other family and friends.
In addition to her husbands and parents, Betty was preceded in death by her son, Rick Kramer; daughter-in-law, Patty Martin; siblings, Kenneth (Lenore), Robert(June), Donald (Dorothy and Ginger) Rita (Carl), Paul, Jerry and Richard.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Betty at 5 PM on Friday, February 3, 2023 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Combined Locks, WI. Family and friends may visit at the church from 3 PM to the time of the Mass. Copies of Betty's famous cookie recipe will be provided. Inurnment will take place this spring in the parish cemetery.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to Little Chute Healthcare for your care and compassion, Janette, Stacy, Ally, Brandi And Linda Lou. Also to the staff at St E's, Penny and staff, Denise from ADRC, and Hospice (Compassus).
Betty will be missed so much by family and friends and left an impression wherever she went. We know she is playing cards and drinking a beer saying: I'll drink to that! Betty was an sports fan of Brewers, Packer, Bucks and Badgers. In honor of her please feel free to wear sports apparel in honor of Betty.
