On May 14, 2018, Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Vincent left this vale of tears at St. Elizabeth Hospital and transitioned to Heaven where there are no tears (Rev. 21:4). Betty passed away surrounded by her family. Betty was born on July 13, 1931 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Jim and Loreen Anthony. Betty graduated from Indiana University in 1953 and taught two years in Indianapolis, Indiana, a year in Killeen, Texas and two years in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Betty was joined in marriage to B. Frank Vincent on December 22, 1953. Betty and Frank have been members of Calvary Bible Church for over 43 years. Betty taught first grade Sunday school for 10 years and was also active in the choir and the Living Christmas Tree.
Betty greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, including hiking in many of the National Parks in the United States, Canada, Switzerland and New Zealand. Betty and Frank also travelled to Scotland, Germany, France, and Norway.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of nearly 65 years, Frank, daughter Loreen (John) Bennett of Billings, Montana; brother Richard (Beverly) Anthony of Carmel, Indiana; nieces and nephews Julie Summerville, Tom (Shellie) Anthony, Suzanne (Tony) Wilhelm, and Betsy (Rob) Gordon and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
Funeral services will be held at Calvary Bible Church, 1450 Oakridge Road, Neenah on Friday May 18 at 12 Noon. Visitation will be held at church from 9:00 AM until the time of services. Interment to follow at Oakhill Cemetery. Memorials to Calvary Bible Church in Betty’s name are appreciated.
