Age 88, passed away and was greeted by Our Lord and the Blessed Mother on Wednesday morning, September 14, 2005 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born in Appleton on March 13, 1917 to the late Joseph and Caroline (Wuehr) Overesch. She worked many years at St. Elizabeth Hospital as a Radiology Technician before retiring in 1980. Betty was a woman who was very strong in her faith, and was always willing to help people in need. She loved music and showed that by playing the organ, piano, and accordion; and also could be seen caroling during her favorite Holiday season, Christmas. She was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis, and a long time member of Sacred Heart Parish.

She will be sadly missed by her sister, Dorothy Overesch, Appleton, brothers, Vernon (Ethel) Overesch, Appleton, Joseph (Janice) Overesch, Menasha; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerome, and a sister, Catherine.

Funeral services for Betty will be held on Friday, September 16, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Parish, 222 E. Fremont St. with Father Norm Krutzik officiating. Friends may call in the Sacred Heart Room at church from 4 p.m. until the time of mass. Burial will take place on Monday, September 19 at St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton at 10 a.m.
