Eleanor Gullickson, age 90 of Neenah, passed away at Rennes Health in Appleton on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Eleanor was born in Oshkosh on July 3, 1926, daughter of the late Herman and Linda (Schmidt) Westphal. Eleanor met Russell Gullickson while working at Kimberly Clark Corporation. The couple married on September 7, 1954. Russell passed away on April 14, 2012. Many will remember Eleanor from the Coffee Shop at Theda Clark Hospital, where she worked for over twenty years. In her retirement, she enjoyed volunteering as a Pink Lady at the hospital as well as Bethesda Thrift Store in Neenah.
Eleanor is survived by a daughter: Kay (Tom) Lauer of Appleton; two granddaughters: Katie Knepfel and Anne (Paul) Swanson, both of Seattle, Washington; a great-grand-daughter: Isabella; twin sisters: Carol Rogers and Carolyn Rhoden; a brother: Mylan (Judy) Westphal; and a sister-in-law: Jan Westphal. There are also many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Ralph Gullickson, a sister Betty, brothers William, Arlyn (Charlotte), David, and Donald; and brothers-in-law Eugene Rogers and Bill Rhoden.
The funeral service for Eleanor will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 200 N. Commercial Street in Neenah, with Rev. Sandra Crase officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather directly at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
