Ellie Frank, age 35, and Mike Frank, age 50, died on Sunday, April 3, 2005, in Columbia County as the result of an automobile accident. Ellie and Mike were married on March 26, 1993, in Appleton. They were devoted to their friends and family and were Eternal Optimists, often saying “Don’t worry, be happy.” They especially enjoyed the time spent with their children and grandchildren. Mike enjoyed hunting and the company of his friends. Mike was well-known for the generosity with his time and efforts, his sparkling personality and his sense of humor. Ellie was employed at the Thilmany Paper Mill, enjoyed music, shopping, and skiing. Mike’s survivors include his parents, Paul and Irene (Skell) Frank, Neenah; his daughters and son, Lisa (John) Smith, and their children, Olivia and Montana, Appleton; Cindy Frank, Appleton; and Neil Frank, Shiocton; his brother Tom (Diane) Frank, Wausau; his sisters, Linda (Tom) Voight, Neenah, and Tammy (Greg) Roou, Germantown, Wisconsin. Ellie’s survivors include her mother, Karen Anderson, and her brother, Lewis (Michelle) Anderson, Menasha. Ellie and Mike were further survived by their dog, Mozart. Ellie was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Anderson.

The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2005, at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 West Pine Street, Appleton, with Fr. John Bergstadt officiating. The visitation will be at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri-County Chapel, 3212 South Oneida Street, Menasha, Wisconsin on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again directly at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Michael and Ellie’s name.
