Elaine R. Kerscher

Age 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 29, 2002 at the Cherry Meadows Hospice. Elaine was born in Appleton on November 25, 1925, daughter of the late Charles and Sophia (Kroll) Belling. She married Robert Kerscher in Kaukauna on January 25, 1950; he survives. In her younger years, Elaine worked as a waitress at Oakwood Hills and later was employed by the Kaukauna Community Hospital as a nurses’ aide. Elaine was a true Elvis fan, enjoyed collecting knick-knacks, and will be remembered by all for her enthusiastic decoration of her home for each and every holiday.

She is survived by her husband: Robert Kerscher of Kaukauna; a daughter: Debra (Alan) Stievo of Oshkosh; a son: John (Tina) Kerscher of Kaukauna; four grandchildren: Matthew and Michelle Stievo and J.J. and Heather Kerscher; a sister: Ruby Wydeven of Appleton, as well as by numerous in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and by brothers and sisters: Lillian, Helen, Olive, Joyce, Alois, Carl, Roy, LaVerne, James, and John.

The funeral liturgy for Elaine will be held at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2401 Main Avenue in Kaukauna with Fr. David Schmidt officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Tuesday from 2 PM until the hour of the service.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the entire staff at Cherry Meadows. You treated Mom as though she was your very own; she could have been in no better hands. Thanks also to Elaine’s special friends and neighbors who thought and cared so much about her. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
