Elaine Della Neidhold Marcy, age 90 of Manawa, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at the Manawa Community Nursing Center. Elaine was born March 12, 1916 near Dorchester, Wisconsin, daughter of Alvin and Whilminna Schoenick Neidhold. The family moved to Weyauwega in 1932. On November 6, 1941 she married Lindon Marcy. They made their home on a farm in Ogdensburg. Elaine has been a resident of the Manawa Community Nursing Center since 2000. Elaine was an excellent cook and kept up a two finger typing correspondence with friends and relatives for many years. She loved to read and play cards.
Elaine is survived by 3 sons – Malcolm Sr., Manawa, David (Sandy), and Jack (Patti), of Ogdensburg; 2 daughters – Judy (Mark) Asman, Kaukauna; Jill Farrell, Pueblo, Colorado; 1 daughter-in-law – Debbie (Lee) Smoll, Neenah; 11 grandchildren: Malcolm Jr. (Trisha) and Ben (KrisAnn) Marcy; Peter Asman and LeeAnn (Tony) Lyndon-Racho; Matt, Joe (Paula), and Adam Marcy; Betsy (Nathan) Wilson, Lindsay (Will) Bascom, Tim (Elizabeth) Marcy; Rob Farrell; and 10 great-grandchildren: Alexander, Christian, Abigail, Shane, Xander, Wyatt, Ely, James, Audrey, and John. She is further survived by 1 brother-in-law – Francis Douglas, Weyauwega.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Lindon, a son, Jim, her parents, 7 brothers and 6 sisters.
The Wichmann Funeral Home in Appleton is assisting the family with arrangements for cremation. A memorial service will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church, 3548 County Highway E, Waupaca, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2006, with Rev. Rick Anderson officiating. Friends may call at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
