Age 80, of Menasha, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 in her home surrounded by family.
Elaine was born April 28, 1937 in Appleton. She graduated from Appleton West High School with a women’s business scholarship to Marion College. She was devoted to her family who survive her, husband Thomas J. McGuire, children Jim (Jeannette Garneau), Juli, and Mike. She cherished her grandchildren Robert, Melissa Huempfner, and Marc, and great grandson Common. She was very close to her aunt Arlene (Schmitt) Vanden Boogart who kept in constant contact. She is further survived by sister-in-law Mary Ann Walbrun, and many others. Family and friends will remember Elaine for her tremendous feasts and spectacular layout of hors d'oeuvres and desserts. Holidays were very special to Elaine and she went all out for her family. She was especially gifted at the piano and entertained often with Tom singing ballads and show tunes.
She had a fulfilling career and was a role model because of her skills, compassion, and winning smile that carried through the phone as she helped customers and associates.
Elaine enjoyed having fun and was always ready to help others. She served on Ski Patrol under the tutelage of Dr. Leonard Weis, as makeup artist and seamstress for Attic Theatre where she met Tom, as den mother for Scouts, as Good Samaritan to strangers, and spent countless hours attending school activities for her children. She was always available to listen and gently guide with boundless love and generosity. She was truly a gift and beautiful soul to everyone who knew her.
Elaine is predeceased by her parents Chet and Rose (Schmitt) Kaezor, in-laws Thomas M. and Alma (Andre) McGuire, brother-in-law George Walbrun. On her mother’s side, she is predeceased by grandparents Joe and Minne (Nabbefeld) Schmitt, uncle Lloyd (Marge Gerrits) Schmitt, aunts Ceil (Al) Anderson, and Lillian (George) Hietpas. On her father’s side she is predeceased by her grandparents Gustave and Anna (Niemuth) Kaezor, uncles Eddie and Clifford (Edna), aunts Edna (Everett) Westphal, Cora (Michael) Dahlke, and Elsie.
