Eileen Marie Harvey

January 24, 1936 — March 9, 2001

Age 65, passed away Friday, March 9, 2001 at the Appleton Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. Eileen was born in Ashland, Wisconsin on January 24, 1936, daughter of the late Joseph and Clara (Larson) Kupczyk. On August 13, 1955, she married Ray Harvey in Ashland; he survives. In her earlier years, Eileen worked as a crossing guard for the city of Kaukauna, but most recently worked in the lunchrooms throughout the Kaukauna School System. She was an avid golfer and a member of the Fox Valley Golf Club. Each morning she enjoyed time spent with her friends, The Culture Club. Eileen was a member of the Kaukauna Hospital Auxiliary, and was active as a greeter and communion distributor at Holy Cross Catholic Church. She also enjoyed various crafts, including painting, making wooden ornaments, and crocheting.

She is survived by her husband: Ray Harvey of Kaukauna; two daughters: Kay (Dennis) Van Eperen of Hollandtown and Patti (Dennis) Groom of Ashland; three sons: Ray (Lisa) Harvey, Jr. of Kaukauna, Tim (Laura) Harvey of Kaukauna, and Randy (Debbi) Harvey of Ashland; thirteen grandchildren: Dana, Jennifer, Leah, and Craig Harvey; Jason (Melissa) Van Eperen, Amy Van Eperen and her special friend Cory Van Den Heuvel; Shannon Groom, Mandy Groom and her special friend Andy Carter; Jeff and Kyle Harvey; and Jessica, Ryan, and Lauren Harvey; a great-granddaughter: Jordyn Carter; a sister-in-law, and two brothers-in-law. Eileen is further survived by Ray’s brothers and sisters: Bernice (Lindy) Hudson of Butte, Montana; Chester Harvey of Baldwinsville, New York; Floyd (Delores) Harvey of Los Angeles; Lester (Gayle) Harvey of Washington; Leland (Sharon) Harvey of Washburn; Marvin (Bonnie) Harvey of Sheboygan; and Alice (Darryl) Valincourt of Sanborn, Wisconsin, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, by sisters Margie Kupczyk, Janet Stadler, and Lorraine Marincel, and by a brother Raymond Kupczyk.

The funeral liturgy for Eileen will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday, March 12, 2001 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Monday from 2:00 PM until the hour of the liturgy.
