We are blessed to have had this wonderful, beautiful lady for our mother, Eileen Mae School. Eileen was 76 years old when the good Lord saw she was getting tired and he reached for her Hand to bring her home. Mom is now in heaven with Jesus and our Dad. Dad waited 14 years for her and we know that someday we will be reunited with them again.
Mom taught us many valuable lessons; always say please and thank you, always be honest, be kind, be helpful to others, go to church, and live your life trusting in God. Give your worries to God, be not afraid.
Eileen was born to John Bloomer and Dorothy (Norman) Hansen and was a graduate of Suring High School. It is in Suring where she met the love of her life Ronald Nicholas School. They were married July 1st, 1963. Mom remained faithful to Ron her entire life. He preceded her in death in 2006. Eileen graduated from the School of Cosmetology in Green Bay. She worked as a beautician, and then at Zwicker Mills. She was blessed to be able to stay home and raise us three children: Janet (Ron) Hendricks, Judy (Ken) Bowers, and Wayne School. Afterwards, Eileen worked at Franciscan Care Center for over 25 years.
Mom taught us how important it is was to give of your time and talents: she was a girl scout leader for years and she belonged to Christian Mothers. She also loved listening to the kids read at Katie’s school. Mom loved to cook and was always making her famous potato salad or tuna noodle salad for the funerals at Holy Cross Parish. Mom volunteered and served for many funerals over the years. She also loved to knit. We all have received her wonderful kitchen wash cloths over the years. Also, Mom loved the Chicago Bears football team. She wore her Bears hat all the time. She also loved baseball. Ask her anything – she kept up on all of it.
She loved talking sports with her son and sons-in-laws. She was very proud of all her children. Eileen is survived by seven grandchildren: Cory (Meghan) Bowers, Katie, (Matt) Opperman, Bridget (fiancé Jordan) Bowers, Leah (Kyle) VanDenBosch, Justin (special friend Stephanie) Olveda, Cale (fiancée Haley) School, and Dillon (fiancée Sierra) School.
She also has five great-grandchildren, with another one on the way. Eileen loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandkids. She would give up any day of fishing to just stay back at the cabin with all the grandkids. They brought her so much joy. At the mention of their names, she started to smile. She loved hearing from them and talking about all of them.
She is also survived by her brother: Jack (Carol) Bloomer, a sister-in-law Shirl LeClaire, and brother-in- law Jim School, as well as her God-Children: Don School and Danielle Rhodes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-parents Norman Hansen, and Howard (Erma) Yakel, and her in-laws: Lawrence and Virginia School.
The funeral mass for Eileen will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 4, 2021, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, located at 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna. Friends and family are invited to gather at the church on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.

To view the service, please visit this page at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 4. 2021.
The Wichmann and Fargo Funeral Homes are assisting the family, and burial will be held at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
Instead of flowers – Mom always gave to the Food Pantry at the St. Mary’s of the Lakes parish in Lakewood. We know that it was important to her – so if you would like to make a donation to your local food pantry in memory of Mom – we know that would put a smile on her face. Or do another random act of kindness in her honor. All donations received will be going to the St. Mary’s of the Lakes Food Pantry.
We would like to give a huge THANK YOU to all the amazing staff at the Helens House: Kelly, Deb, Jessie, Erika, Holly, Linda, Kathy and Ken, who all gave excellent care to our Mom. Thanks also to the Ascension Hospice team – Tracy, Jenny and Ann. Thank you all. May God Bless all of you!
