Eileen M. Baumann

Seventeen days before her 96^th birthday, God, took Eileen home to heaven.

She was born on Sept., 18, 1925, to Rose (Yost) and August Andresen in the Township of Oshkosh. She married Carl Baumann on June 6, 1946. He preceded her in death after 66 wonderful years of marriage. Together Carl and Eileen lovingly nurtured eight children on the family farm.

By word and example Eileen taught her children care and compassion for others. Her deep faith in God was a priority in her daily life. She was gifted with many talents and generously shared her sewing and baking expertise. Using her beautiful singing voice, she sang in choirs at St. Thomas More Parish in Appleton and in the Wisconsin Chorale which toured in Europe, including St. Peter’s Basilica.

Carrying on her legacy are her children Sister Ann Carla Baumann, Michael (Shirley) Baumann, Carol (Kerry) Watson, John (Lani) Baumann, Pete (Toni) Baumann, Janet (Steve) Gallo, and Maribeth (George) Nicolaus. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and other special extended family members. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, her daughter, Mary, her sisters and brothers-in-law Marguerite (Frank) Pelles, Jeanette (Joe) Baumann, Marion ( Clem) Baumann and one brother and sister-in-law Charles (Katherine) Andresen.

The funeral liturgy for Eileen will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 10, 2021 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, located at 1810 N. McDonald Street in Appleton.  Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery.   Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Friday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.

Eileen’s family expresses warm gratitude to Dr. Travis Kroner, the compassionate team at Brewster Village and the caring staff of Theda Care Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
