Eileen was born on April 22, 1926, the twin daughter of the late Rudolph and Elsie (Steber) Kunstman. She was baptized into the Christian faith at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Appleton, on May 2, 1926, and confirmed on March 17, 1940. Eileen was a graduate of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran School and Appleton West High School. Following graduation Eileen was employed briefly at Interlake Mill and then as a receptionist at Sherry Motors, Appleton. She married the love of her life, Arlin A. Tiede, on June 26, 1948. They enjoyed 59 beautiful years together before God called him home.
Eileen’s unwavering faith and love of family shone brightly in her life. Even in her 90’s she maintained a positive attitude, stayed interested in the world around her, and showed compassion and kindness to others. She loved music, shopping, and giving gifts, poetry, chocolate, being silly, reading the newspaper, and all holidays (especially Christmas). If she could leave you with one final thought it would be that each of you are important in your own special way – to God and to the world!
