Age 87, died unexpectedly, peacefully in her sleep, Monday morning, October 8, 2001. She was born September 26, 1914, to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Schomisch, in Appleton, where she was a resident all of her life. Eileen married Richard F. Danner on July 4, 1942, he preceded her in death October 31, 2000. She had been employed at the Outagamie County Courthouse until she had her children. After raising her children she returned to work and was employed by the Lakeview Credit Union until her retirement. Eileen enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge and sheepshead and recently found great pleasure in playing bingo at The Heritage, where she had served on committees and had many dear friends. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the St. Elizabeth Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors include her three children, Mary and Phil Fettig, Minneapolis, MN; Thomas J. and Carol Danner, Neenah; Joan Winston, Minneapolis, MN; ten grandchildren: ten great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Anita Schomisch, San Diego, CA; and a brother-in-law, Gerald Otto, Appleton. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, October 11, 2001, at ST JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 West Lawrence Street, with Father John Holly officiating. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 am Thursday, until the time of the mass. A memorial fund is being established.
