Age 81, died Friday, June 4, 2004, at Appleton Medical Center. Edwina was born on September 21, 1922, in Ashland, to the late Alfred and Emma (Gandreau) Parent. She married Norman Flom on April 14, 1982, in Appleton. Edwina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was also an avid traveler, bowler, and enjoyed bingo. Survivors include her husband Norman; her son Gary (Diana) Thompson, Appleton; her daughter, Natalie (Jeffrey) Strohmeyer, Town of Menasha; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Shane) Van Handel, Stephanie (Robert) Millay, and Eric and Rachel Strohmeyer; her great grandchildren, Spencer, Olivia, Trey and Paige; her brothers, Warren (Pat) Parent, Gordon Parent, Br. Howard Parent; her sisters, Marlene (Don) Molis, Joan (William) Weiss, Jeanette (Jerry) Wotruba, Marann (Ludwig) Gagnath, and Geraldine (Robert) Korpela; her sisters-in-law, Millie Parent and Betty Parent; and her special friends, Kay Ellis and Myrtle Fickel. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ward L. Thompson, and her brothers, Wallace, Raymond, and Elman Parent. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 7, 2004, at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 620 E Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Fr. Thomas Pomeroy officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be at Noon on Tuesday in St. Agnes Cemetery, Ashland, Wisconsin.
