Age 86, died peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2003 at Brewster Village. Edwin was born in Stephensville, Wisconsin on May 19, 1917, son of the late John and Josephine (Schroth) Komp. He married Mary Jochman on May 6, 1942. Edwin loved to fish and hunt, especially for ducks. He also enjoyed bowling, watching the Packers and traveling with his wife Mary. Edwin is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Kathleen (John) Hull; Sharon Peot; Ronald (Beverly) and Steven (Deborah) Komp; Paul (Cindy) Schneider; his grandchildren, Matthew Hull; Amy, Emily and Katie Peot; Brian (Deb) Komp; Laurie (Travis) Notz; Craig, Scott, Jayson (Michelle) Komp; Jennifer (Stacy) Reetz; John (Rhonda) and Jill Schneider; 9 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Arlene Jochman. He is further survived by nieces and nephews. Edwin was preceded in death by his brothers, Leo and Roy Komp; sister, Irene Day; granddaughter, Meredith Hull; sons-in-law, Jim Peot and Jerry Hauswirth; and other relatives. Edwin was a loving husband and father and will be missed by family and friends. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at ST. BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2331 East Lourdes Drive, Appleton, with Rev. Harold Berryman officiating. Visitors will be received at the church on Tuesday, October 28, from 10:30 until 11:15 a.m. The interment will be held at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Greenville. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Elderhaus and Brewster Village, for their loving care of Edwin during the past 8 years.
