Edward P. Hendricks

Age 88, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2004 at Parkside Care Center. Ed was born October 15, 1915, son of the late Martin and Hattie (Coenen) Hendricks. As a young man, he worked as a hired hand for several area farmers, and for a time also worked for the railroad. On September 27, 1945 he married the former Regina Vandenberg; she preceded him in death on June 21, 1994. Following their marriage, Ed began a lengthy employment at the Combined Locks Mill. He enjoyed polka dancing in his younger years, as well as fishing. During his stay at Parkside Care Center, he enjoyed participating in the activities, especially bingo.

Survivors include three daughters: Connie (Ron) Vande Voort of Little Chute, Linda (Ray) Gruenstern of Kaukauna, and Diane (Dwight) Perry of Tennessee; four sons: Dwayne Hendricks of Appleton, Bob (Barb) Hendricks of Kaukauna, Dick (Debbie) Hendricks of Kaukauna, and Ron (Janet) Hendricks of Kaukauna; twenty grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters: Aggie Roebke and Nettie Aerts, both of Wrightstown. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Regina in 1994, a daughter-in-law Pat Hendricks; brothers Joe (Lorraine) Bill (Eleanor) Leo (Claire) Frank, a sister Marie (Bill) Williquet, and brothers-in-law Melvin Roebke and Elzer Aerts.

The funeral liturgy for Ed will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 3:00 PM until the hour of the service.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Parkside Care Center in Little Chute. Dad was there for six years, and each day you made him to feel at home. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
