Edward Mulloy, Jr.

Edward Mulloy, of Appleton, Age 71, passed away on Friday November 24, 2006 at his home with his family at his side after a long battle with Parkinson’s and heart diseases. Ed was born on July 7th, 1935 in New York, NY to the late Edward and Kathleen (Reavey) Mulloy. His family moved to Cincinnati in 1939. Ed attended Xavier University, where he received a BS in Business Administration, then attended the University of Cincinnati where he received his Masters in Finance. He met Patricia Louise Hughes, who was attending the College of Mount St. Joseph, Cincinnati OH, and they were married on June 10, 1961. He started his career with IBM in Cincinnati OH, relocating to Neenah WI in 1965 with Kimberly Clark. He and his wife founded and operated the Wire Whisk since 1977.

Ed is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, his five children, Mary Margaret (Bill) Miller (Appleton), Mary Elizabeth (Patrick) Colwell (New Canaan, CT), Mary Patricia (Tim) Kollenberg (Appleton), Edward Joseph (Jennifer) Mulloy (South Beloit, IL) and Mary Alice (Tom) Fatta (Stamford, CT); ten grandchildren, Becky, Billy, Chris and Sean Miller; Katie, Lizzy and Patrick Colwell; Charlie Kollenberg; Lucy Mulloy, and Frankie Fatta , and. He is also survived by his four brothers and sisters: James (Mary) Mulloy, Georgetown, IN; Kathleen (Ivan) Tamarkin, Wyoming, OH; Harry (Lois) Mulloy, Cincinnati, OH; and Sheila (Tom) Lauck, Indianapolis, IN, along with many other family and friends.

Ed loved sailing, horse racing, playing bridge and spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 29th, 2006 at St. Mary Parish, 312 South State Street, Appleton with Father Michael O’Rourke officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 28th from 4 until 8 pm and again on Wednesday from 10 am until the time of the mass directly at church at church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Appleton.
