Dear and loving husband and father, age 88, died on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Peabody Manor. Edward was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, on May 26, 1916, son of the late Russell and Elsa (Roder) Terrill. He graduated from Fond du Lac High School in 1934. Edward then graduated from Lawrence University in Appleton in 1938, earned his Masters Degree at the UW-Madison in 1948 and completed post-graduate work at UW-Milwaukee. He married Lucy E. Touhey on June 10, 1943 in Terre Haute, IN. Edward taught music in Buckley, IL, Wautoma and Columbus, WI. They then moved to Milwaukee, where he taught music at South Division High School, retiring in 1981. Edward was also Past President of the Greenfield School Board for 13 years. Following retirement, he and Lucy spent 17 years in Casa Grande, AZ. In 1998, they returned to Wisconsin and resided at The Heritage in Appleton. He loved traveling and was an avid golfer. Edward will be greatly missed by his wife, Lucy; his son, Richard Stephen (Christine), Redmond, WA; his daughters, Patricia Jeanne (Kevin) Gibney, Charles City, IA; Janis Marie (Lance) Larson, Appleton; 7 grandchildren: Kyle Larson, who preceded Edward in death; Peter Terrill; Leif Larson; Erin Pritchard-Wegner; John and Katherine Kelly Pritchard and Elizabeth Terrill; 3 great-grandchildren: Jaden Pritchard, who preceded Edward in death; Charlotte Terrill and Ashton Wegner; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Edmonds, Grand Ledge, MI. He is further survived by nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 East Fremont Street, Appleton, with Rev. Robert Karuhn officiating. Visitors will be received at the church on Tuesday, March 8 from 9 a.m. until the time of service. The interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. As an expression of sympathy, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Wisconsin: 1-800-360-2110. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Peabody Manor for their loving care.
