Edward J. Pellinger

Edward James Pellinger, age 66, of Appleton, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 8, 2021. He was also known as Big Eddie or Big Papa P.

He was born to the late Fred and Henrietta (Potter) Pellinger on May 4, 1954 in Oshkosh, WI. He married his wife, Carol Karmasin, on October 2, 1976, spending 44 years together. Ed had a long career in sales. He worked for Window Specialists for many years and ended his sales career at Gustman Subaru of Appleton.

Ed was an active member at St. Pius X Catholic Church and sang in the church choir. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Ed enjoyed Friday Night Fish-Frys with friends and family, spending time with his grandchildren, playing golf, watching Packer games with his friends, and attending sporting events. You could always hear him cheering on his kids and grand-kids at every game they played in. He also loved traveling.

Ed is survived by his wife Carol Pellinger; 3 children, Matt (Elizabeth “Libbe”) Pellinger, Jill (Barry) Thorson and Ryan Pellinger; 5 grandchildren, Evan and Isaac Pellinger, Cole, Tessa, and Sabrina Thorson; and many other family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his infant granddaughter, Ella Thorson; sister and brother-in-law, Delores (Carl) Frank.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Ed at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette St., Appleton, WI 54911. Family and friends may visit at the church from 9:30-11:30 AM.  Inurnment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, 1815 E. Wisconsin Ave, Appleton, WI.
