The Heritage

Age 91, died Sunday, February 8, 2004, at Appleton Medical Center. Edward was born on January 11, 1913, in Appleton to the late Julius and Bertha (Otto) Radtke. He will be remembered for his giving, helpful and friendly nature. Edward taught Manual Arts at Wilson Junior High School for over 40 years. He was an avid Packer fan and was a season ticket holder for more than 35 years. Edward married Mary Quartemont in 1935; she preceded him in death in 1991. He married Emily I. Schulz in 1992. Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Emily; his son Charles (Pat) Radtke, Appleton; his step-daughter; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Norman and Harold and his sister, Mildred Bisel. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2004, at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 601 East Glendale Avenue, Appleton, with Rev. Daniel Thews officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Edward’s name to benefit Wilson Junior High School. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the medical staff at Appleton Medical Center (3rd Floor Oncology) for their loving care.
