Edward A. Ochs, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at his home. He was born on November 12, 1932, in Peshtigo, the son of George and Katherine (Merschdorf) Ochs. Ed served for 2 years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Ed met Sandra Lee Olson, and married her on August 30, 1958. They enjoyed 60 years together and raised three children. Ed was active in the paper industry all his career in management and sales. He was involved in the Free Masons Lodge #128, Wisconsin Rapids, Melody Masonic Lodge #2, Platteville, and the Zor Shriners, Madison. Ed was a wonderful family man and loved by his family and friends.
Edward is survived by his wife: Sandra; 3 children: Jay, Paul (Jana), and Kara Lee Ochs; 10 grandchildren: Lauren Green, Ryan Emenecker, Megan Emenecker, Allison, Stephania, Amanda, Jason, Diana, Carlie, and Marissa Ochs; 4 siblings: Al (Susie), George (Sandra), Marty (Liz), and Judy Ochs; and many other relatives and friends.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, and a younger brother.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, at www.donate.lovetotherescue.org
