Age 88, died on Sunday, September 12, 2004 at the Franciscan Care Center. Edna was born in Polar, Wisconsin, on November 28, 1915, daughter of the late William and Lena (Hose) Brandt. She married Carl Zuelzke; he preceded her in death in June, 1974. Edna married Harvey Hartjes; he preceded her in death in October, 1995. She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Joe) Bushman; her son, Donald (Maxine) Zuelzke; step-children, Donna (Ronald) Holz; Glen Hartjes; her sisters, Helen Roehl; Vera Delain; Arlene Stowasser; sister-in-law, Sandy Brandt; grandchildren: Joseph, Jr. (Debbie) Bushman; Constance (Jay) Johnson; Cindy (Mark) Wheeler; Patrick (Christine) Bushman; Cheri (Kevin) Halvorson; Carrie (Greg) Tomasik; Terri (Randy) Behnke; Carla (Dennis) Fulcer; Randy (Julaine) Zuelzke; Paula (Mike) Derleth; 28 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Edna was preceded in death by her infant son, Robert; sisters: Grace Brandt; Margaret (Marvin) Beyer; Delorse (Tom) Schulz; brothers: Herbert and Edwin Brandt and William Brandt, Jr; and grandson, Daniel Bushman. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 209 South Allen Street, Appleton, with Rev. Kurt and Rev. Mary Beth Kovanen officiating. Visitors will be received at the church on Wednesday, September 15 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. The interment will be held at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. As an expression of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established.
