Edna E. Bermann, 86, of Appleton, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2005, at the home of her son, William, in Edgerton, Wisconsin.
She was born November 7, 1918, in Appleton, the daughter of the late Henry and Hattie (Schuelke) Fiebelkorn. Edna grew up in Appleton, attending schools at Roosevelt Junior High and Appleton High School, where she graduated. Edna married Harold Bermann on November 9, 1946, Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton. He preceded her in death on February 22, 1998. Edna was employed for many years with Sears and Roebuck Company and retired in the mid-1970’s. The Bermann’s lived in Green Bay for twelve years while Harold was employed with the telephone company, moving back to Appleton in 1962. They enjoyed golfing and bowling together, as well as leather tooling.
Edna’s interests included knitting, crocheting, ceramics, and gardening around the house.

Survivors include her two sons, William (Peggy) Bermann, of Edgerton, and Jeffrey (Mary) Bermann, of Appleton; her granddaughter, Katie Bermann, of Appleton, whom she loved very much; a brother, Earl (Agnes) Randall, of Appleton; and two sisters-in-law, Geraldine Fiebelkorn, of Appleton, and Ruth Bermann, of New London. Edna was preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua, a sister, Margaret Klause, and three brothers, Hilert, Paul, and William Fiebelkorn.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2005, at ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH, 912 North Oneida Street, Appleton, with Reverend Larry Matthews officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the church. A memorial fund in Edna’s name is being established.

The family would like to express their special thanks to Edna’s neighbors, who were so good to her, for all their help over the years.
