Edna Ann Ratz

Edna Ann Ratz, age 71, of Appleton, passed away on September 1, 2021 in Appleton, WI.

Edna was born in Gastonia, NC to Forrest and Doris Bennett on January 31, 1950.  She went to school at Hunter Huss High School in Gastonia, NC.  Edna married James M Ratz on November 25, 1983 in Myrtle Beach AFB, SC. Edna worked as a Supervising Agent for Wright Weber Management for 23 years.  She was very dedicated to family, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, and the greatest grandma her family could have asked for.

Edna is preceded in death by her parents, step-father Bobby Medford, siblings Freddy Bennet, Jinni Bennett, Larry Bennet, and daughter Tracy Zornow.

Edna is survived by her husband of 38 years, James, stepsister Cindy Medford, grandchildren Robin (Heather) Abrams and Charles (Katie) Abrams, and great grandchildren Jeremiah, Ellis, Emma, Imogen, and Elliot.

The family of Edna wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses and doctors at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Hospital Covid Unit and to all the family and friends who sent their prayers.

Funeral services for Edna will be held at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior Street, on Friday September 10^th at 6:00 PM with Pastor Dennis Pierce officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until the time of services. Private entombment at Highland Memorial Park.
