Age 96, was called to her Eternal Home on Sunday, February 1, 2004, at Franciscan Care Center, Appleton. Eda was born on June 18, 1907, in Hortonville, to the late Otto and Wilhelmine Kluge. She married Hugo D. Strelow on May 18, 1935, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville; he preceded her in death on November 28, 1997. Eda graduated from Hortonville High School and attended Oshkosh Business College. She worked as a bookkeeper in Oshkosh and later as a bookkeeper for the Schlafer Hardware Store in Appleton. Before her retirement she was the office manager at Johnson-Hills, Neenah. Eda was a longtime and faithful member of Mt. Olive Ev. Lutheran Church and a 50-year member of Mt. Olive Ev. Church Ladies Aid. She is survived by her two sons, Wayne (Joan) Strelow, Appleton and Stephen (Carol) Strelow, Appleton; her six grandchildren, Michael (Susan) Strelow, Brian (Jody) Strelow, William Strelow, James Strelow and Steven (Ann) Strelow, and Amy Kain; her ten great grandchildren; her nieces and nephews; and her sister-in-law, Edna Strelow. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Olga Kruse and Clara Ritzke Vogt; five brothers, Oscar, Clement, Eldor, Theodore and Harold Kluge; and an infant grandson.

Funeral services will at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2004, at MT. OLIVE EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 930 East Florida Avenue, Appleton, with Rev. Joel Zank officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. A memorial has been established in her name to benefit Mt. Olive Ev. Lutheran Church. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to those at Franciscan Care Center who gave Eda understanding and comfort during the time she was with them.
