Earl Bauer, age 88, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, October 31, 2006. Earl was born February 12, 1918 in Appleton, son of the late Alphonse and Elsie (Mueller) Bauer. On October 4, 1941, Earl married the former Pat Clark at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Menasha. His entire adult life was spent working at the Appleton Wire Works. Earl retired in 1982. Earl is survived by his wife of sixty-five years: Pat Bauer of Appleton; five children: Tom (Connie) Bauer of Little Chute; Michael Bauer of Fremont; MaryAnn (David) Zunker of Oshkosh; Pamela Haak of Appleton; Elizabeth (Mike) McAuley-Schlemme of Neenah. Earl is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-granchildren, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mildred (George) Rohloff.
A private memorial service for Earl is being held at a later date.
The family has established a memorial fund in Earl’s name at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Appleton.
