Age 68, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2001 at St. Elizabeth Hospital following long time heart complications. He was born on May 20, 1932 in Clintonville the son of the late Joseph and Eleanor (Wisnefski) Zehren. On October 15, 1955 he married Delores Barclay in Easton, Maine. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956; followed by a three year service in the National Guards. He was employed by Leo Vandenberg Electric for many years, and also worked as an electrician for the City of Appleton until he retired in 1981 due to ill health. Earl loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 45 years Delores of Appleton; his sons Clayton (Amy) Zehren of Menasha, David Zehren of Appleton, Stephan (Laurie) Zehren of Clintonville; his daughters Linda (Bryan) Brazil of West Bloomfield, WI, Margie (Bob) Abendroth of Fremont, Mary (Dennis) Zaugg of Omro, Janette (Sam) Smith of Menasha, Anna (Kevin) Brazil of Weyauwega, and Carol (Dan) Bouchette of Clintonville. Earl is also survived by his sister Carol (Niel) Damsheuser of Appleton, a brother Lealand Zehren of Menasha, 26 grandchildren, and one great grandchild, and two special friends Laverne and June Sandberg of Springbrook, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Irvin A. Zehren, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 20, 2001 at 7:00 PM at Wichmann Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Nokleberg officiating. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home on Friday from 4 :00 PM until the time of the services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
