E. Mark Reichel

Age 66, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, May 4, 2001. Mark was born in Suring, Wisconsin on January 12, 1935, the son of the late Fred and Viola ‚ÄúPeggy‚Äù (Huberty) Reichel. Mark faithfully served his country for ten years as a member of the United States Air Force, and for part of that time was stationed in Korea. His specialty was Chinese linguistics, and at various times was stationed throughout the world. Mark was a member of the Skyhawks, a military sharp-shooting team based in Texas. After his medical discharge from the Air Force, he began his career in the Human Resources field. He was employed in that capacity by the Wisconsin – Michigan Power Company, at Allis-Chalmers in Appleton, and at Lloyd Flanders Company in Marinette / Menomonee. He retired in 1997 from Job Service in Menasha. Currently, Mark was working part-time in shipping and receiving at Dayton‚Äôs. Many will remember Mark as a ‚Äúmaster tinkerer‚Äù – a man who could easily dismantle, repair, and reassemble anything and everything. He was proud to have been a member of the Pine River Riflemen, a group of friends who enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and each other‚Äôs good company.

Mark is survived by a daughter: Karen (Dave) VandenHeuvel of Shreveport, Louisiana, and their children Kristy, Katy, and Kari; three sons: Kevin (Anne) Reichel of Two Rivers and their children Susan and David; Paul (Mari) Reichel of Darboy and their children Daniel and Alicia; John (Kim) Reichel of Rochester, Minnesota and their sons Nick and Steve. He is also survived by a special friend: Lynn Moreau of Green Bay.

A memorial service for Mark will be held at 6:00 PM on Sunday, May 6, 2001 at the funeral home chapel, with Fr. Irvin Udulutsch, OFM, Cap. of St. Mary Catholic Church in Kaukauna officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 PM until the hour of the service.
