Dustin James Kaufert, age 26, of Appleton, passed away on September 4, 2021 due to injuries received in a motorcycle accident. Dustin was born in Appleton to Melissa Kaufert and Anthony Bartman on February 5, 1995.
Dustin was a big hearted person who always helped out in any way he could. He was a man of many talents and if it had wheels, he loved it. Dustin loved skateboarding when he was younger and as he grew older, he graduated to motorcycles. He also loved grabbing a bunch of friends and hitting the outdoors. Whether it was snowboarding, or throwing hammocks in trees and just hanging out, and anywhere in between. Also, when on an adventure, he loved to take beautiful pictures along the way. Another favorite hobby was Poi Spinning.
Dustin is survived by his mother, Melissa Kaufert, daughter Alena Mason, Alena’s mother, Kayla Mason, brother Dakota Kaufert, grandparents, Sandy Kaufert, and Ronald and Betty Kutzleb, Aunt Beth (Tim) Krause, uncle Rick Kaufert, special friend Destiny Hogie as well as cousins, great aunts and uncles, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Bartman, great-grandma Alverda Nussbaum, great-aunt Norma Nussbaum and uncle Ronald Kutzleb.
Dustin will also be missed by his fur-baby Neli, his puppy. She turned 1 just a few days before his accident and Dustin got to throw her a little party.
We will ALL miss his big, contagious smile.
There will be a Gathering in Celebration of Dustin’s Life on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Wichmann Funeral Homes, Tri-County Chapel on Oneida Street in Menasha. The Gathering will continue on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the funeral home from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. There will be a memorial service on Saturday at 2:00pm at the funeral home.
