Duane L. Powell

Age 60, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 31, 2005. Duane was born in Antigo, Wisconsin on October 13, 1944, son of the late James Powell and Beulah Powell Thomas who resides in Appleton. For many years, Duane worked as the manager of several different retail stores in Southeastern Wisconsin. Many will recall his love for flowers, and the beautiful garden and yard he cared for at his home.

Duane is survived by his mother: Beulah Thomas of Appleton; his long-time friend and companion: Tom Kulich of Cedarburg; two uncles: Bob (Bette) Mach of Appleton and Harry (Dorothy) Mach of Appleton; an aunt: Margie Mach of Menasha; as well as many cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

The funeral liturgy for Duane will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 3, 2005 at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1825 N. McDonald Street in Appleton with Deacon Craig Merrick officiating. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the services.
