Duane Ronald Foth, 85, passed away peacefully at his home on February 28, 2024. Duane was born on June 30, 1938 to Alfred and Laura (Malueg) Foth in Sheboygan, WI.
The family moved to Appleton, and Duane graduated from Appleton High in 1957. After graduation, “Duke” joined the Marines and upon returning home, he met the love of his life Janice Havel. They recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on February 23, 2024. “Dewey” was in route sales for many, many years and retired from the Teamsters. If you were involved in the grocery industry, we are sure you crossed paths with our father!
‘BIG GUY’ was a huge sportsman and loved fishing, hunting and spending time with family. Whether it was a trip to the casino or a road trip, he loved to share a good story. He loved his fur pets, Bubba and Bella!
Duane is survived by his loving wife, Janice, his children; Wendy (Gary) Santkuyl, Scott Foth, Sharry Foth, Kerry Foth and Kelly (Michael) Hackbarth. They were blessed with 11 grandchildren/step grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, each one who knew his harsh raspy voice too well. Jillian (Michael) Blount, Monica (Tyler) Riske, Bryan (Sara) Santkuyl, Jeanna (AJ) Schrank, Kimberly (Tim) Brewer, Jason Diem, Landon Ravenhorst, Blake and Ethan Barrington, Blake and Hunter Hackbarth. Great Grandchildren: Elizabeth and Lucas Blount; Samuel, Matthew, Levi and Elliana Riske; William, Johnathan and Melanie Santkuyl; Kiara and Michaeli's children; Gage, Racer and Revyn Schrank; Kadince and Prestin Brewer. He is survived by his sister Marlene Pagel, sisters-in-law Margaret Foth and Shalby Foth and Janice’s family, Jack Havel; Jerry (Vi) Havel; Karen Greil; Robert (Barb) Havel; David (Geri) Havel; Rick Havel, Steve (Sharon) Havel; Tom (Shirley) Havel, Ken (Kris) Havel and Debra (Deni) Welker.
Duane is preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law Tony Diem, brothers Daemon, Darrel and David Foth, sisters Karen Selig and Bonita Katers. Janice's family Mary Bair, Jim Havel, Donna Popp, Jean Besaw, Judy Burke and Kathy Collar. As well as brothers-in-law that were like brothers to him; Eugene Selig, Richard Pagel and Richard Katers, nephews Bruce Selig, David Pagel, Kurt and Dennis Foth.
Per his request, a Celebration of Life will take place on June 30, 2024 which would have been Duane’s 86th birthday. The family will post further details closer to the date. A military burial will take place at Central Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, N2665 County Rd QQ, King, WI 54946, on March 22, 2024 at 2:00 pm.
