Duane C. Baxter

Duane C. Baxter, age 64, of Kaukauna, passed away December 28, 2023, at Aurora Bay Care in Green Bay. Duane was born in Neenah, on November 22, 1959, son of the late Charles and Bernita (Borkenhagen) Baxter.  He married Roberta Erickson on October 1, 1994; she survives.

Duane worked as a master carpenter and cabinet maker for many area construction companies during his working career.  In his retirement, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, building wooden toys for relatives and friends, and spending time with Roberta.

Survivors include: his wife, Roberta Baxter; three sisters, Rosemary (Terry) LaCroix, Lori (Rich) Lehman, and Mary (Craig) McCarry.  His nieces and nephews are Nicole (Jon) Poland and their son Asher, Max (Anna) Lehman and their son Rudy, Emma (Sam) Ryan, and Sean McCarry; and his goddaughter is Nichole Williams.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Roberta’s parents: Robert (Virginia Westman) Erickson, a brother Daniel Baxter, and sister-in-law Shirley Phipps.

A memorial service for Duane will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, located at 2330 E. Calumet Street, Appleton.  Rev. Roger McQuistion and Rev. Jennifer DeNetz will officiate, and visitation will take place at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
