Dr. Jeffrey Whiteside, age 63, passed away recently in Door County, Wisconsin. He was born in Iowa City, Iowa on May 7, 1952. He was the son of the late Robert and Maxine (Fieg) Whiteside. Jeff graduated from Sioux City Central High School and entered the University of Iowa where he received both an undergraduate and later a graduate degree in medicine. He married Kathi Amick; together the couple shared 42 years together and were blessed with three children and five grandchildren.
Jeff is survied by his wife: Kathi Whiteside of Appleton; three children, Matthew (Sarah) of Delafield and their children Penelope and Wesley; Julianna (Dan) Corderman of Sun Prairie and their children Drew and Morgan; and Andrea (Jeno) Cataldo of Fox Point and their child Gianni. He is survied by three siblings, his in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.
Jeff is a shy, private man who loved his patients, his friends, his children, his grandchildren and his wife. Rest in peace physician. Rest in peace friend. Rest in peace Dad. Rest in peace Papa. Rest in peace Husband.
A service to celebrate Dr. Whiteside's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 31, 2015 at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 724 E. South River Street in Appleton, with Rev. Jane Anderson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that donations be directed to Headwaters Search and Rescue and sent to PO Box 332, Eagle River, WI 54521. Donations can also be made on-line by going to their website WWW.HSARK9.ORG and clicking on the DONATE button on the bottom of the home page.
