DOROTHY WEBERS
Appleton
Age 90, died Wednesday, June 27, 2001. She was born March 10, 1911 to the late William and Ernestine (Luchterhand) Schaefer in Marshfield, WI. Dorothy married Emmery Greunke August 12, 1933, he preceded her in death in 1954. Dorothy married John B. Webers June 3, 1967. He also preceded her in death in 1993. Dorothy graduated from the Appleton Business College and was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Appleton. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, past President of Post 38, Pythian Sisters, Eastern Star of Appleton, Delphian Club, volunteered at AMC for 22 years, Elks Ladies Post 337, worked for the Fox River Area Girl Scout Council for 10 years and worked at Laydwell Floors as a secretary for five years until her retirement. She liked to play bridge, sheepshead and formerly enjoyed a round of golf.
She is survived by one son, Jack Greunke of Crivitz; two grandchildren, Kari (Joe) Mor and their children Tiffany, Jessica, and Sara of Appleton, and Mike (Tammy) Greunke and their children Kevan and Kyra of Appleton; two stepsons, Gary (Marianne) Webers of Milwaukee and Lee (Karyl) Webers of Tacoma, WA; stepdaughter Mary Reder of Meza, AZ; sister in law, Inez Greunke of Appleton; other nieces and nephews and a special friend Verla Fellner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first and second husband; three brothers, William Schaefer, Arthur Schaefer and Frank Schaefer; three sisters, Ida Schultz, Louise Leinwander and Elsie Killian; stepson Charles Greunke and a stepson in law, John Reder.
The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 16, 2001 at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 209 South Allen Street, Appleton with Pastor Chris Lee-Thompson officiating. Friends and family will be received at CHURCH on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery. A memorial is being established in her name.
