Dorothy "Dotty" Sedo

Dorothy “Dotty” Claire Sedo (nee Earnest) age 84 of Darboy, WI joined her savior on August 23, 2022 after a long battle with COPD.  She was born to Noble and Dorothy (Mattson) Earnest on September 21, 1937 in Michigan.  She graduated from Houghton High School with the class of 1955.  She married the love of her life, Gary Sedo in the Summer of 1984, merging their families together. 

Dotty was a great cook, always offering to cook for her family, her neighbors, and anyone that would come to her door.  She always loved riding Yamaha motorcycles with her husband and would take long road trips and vacations with it.  Dotty was a feisty woman, never taking crap from anyone!  She was also a saleswoman, often putting on rummage sales for the whole neighborhood or anyone passing by.  More than anything, though, she loved spending as much time as she could with her family, cherishing every moment with her children and granddaughter. 

Dotty is preceded in death by her parents Noble and Dorothy; and her parents-in-law, Howard and Edna Sedo. 

Dotty is survived by her husband, Gary Sedo; her daughter, Laura (Paul) Moss; her granddaughter, Elizabeth “Lizzy” Moss; 2 step-children; 4 siblings-in-law; as well as many other extended relatives and close friends. 

 A memorial visitation will be held for Dotty on Monday, August 29 from 12-1 PM at Riverview Lutheran Church, 136 W. Seymour St, Appleton, WI with a memorial service to follow at 1 PM.  Dotty will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton, WI.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established for Dotty’s service.
