Age 73, died on Friday, September 14, 2001 at Appleton Medical Center. Dorothy was born on May 1, 1928, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Butelewski. She married Herman Ward. Dorothy loved to take bus trips to casinos, and play the slot machines. She enjoyed dining out with friends, and watching old movies. Dorothy also enjoyed walking, especially in downtown Appleton, and the Valley Fair Mall in the winter. She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, a very special cousin Lucille Lashok; and step-children. Dorothy is further survived by her very close friend, Mary Bruehl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman; her 5 brothers, Ray, George, Harry and John Butelewski; Ben Butelefski; her 2 sisters, Martha Ward; Mary DePatie; and her brother-in-law, Leland Ward. The Funeral Service will be held at Noon, on Monday, September 17, 2001 at the funeral home, with Deacon Reinhard Wessing officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday, September 17 from 9 a.m. until the time of service. The family would like to thank the fourth floor nursing staff at Appleton Medical Center, for their special care of Dorothy.
