Dorothy Rehfeldt (Steffens)
Age 80, of Appleton, died peacefully, Thursday, October 2, 2003 at her home. She was born April 23, 1923 in Menasha to the late Charles and Mary (Kurowski) Steffens. She graduated from Menasha High and married the love of her life, Robert R. Rehfeldt, October 22, 1949 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Menasha. She was the devoted mother of Robert (Carol) Rehfeldt, Cynthia (Edward) Sypek, and David (Kimberly Stevens) Rehfeldt. She was the loving grandmother of Nicholas and Jennifer Rehfeldt, Ashlee and Bryanna Stevens. She has two brothers: Richard Steffens and Howard Steffens, and a sister Marion (Elmer) Jandourek. In life she enjoyed the friendship of many, including special friends, Joyce Peterson and the Phillip Zuberbier family. She valued the companionship of many friends at the Thompson Community Center and enjoyed rummage sales, casino trips and bingo.
The Catholic Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Monday, October 6, 2003 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church (312 South State St.) with Father Michael O’Rourke officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Sunday, October 5, 2003 at the funeral home, and also a half hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Appleton.
