Dorothy M. De Bruin

Age 88, passed away at the Appleton Medical Center on Tuesday, December 2, 2003. Dorothy was born in Oconto County on February 15, 1915, daughter of the late William and Anna (Casper) Trams. On November 28, 1935 she married Raymond De Bruin in Kaukauna; he preceded her in death in June of 1995. Dorothy is survived by two sons: Jeff De Bruin of Durango, Colorado and Jared (Joan) De Bruin of Raleigh, North Carolina and their children Christopher (Valerie) De Bruin and Katherine De Bruin; two daughters: Doris Johnson of Menomonee Falls and her children Erik (Cathy) Johnson and Kristin (Ross) Remiker; and Janet (Mike) King of Walkerton, Indiana and their son Lacey (Catina) King; five great-grandchildren: Sam, Nicholas, and Timothy Johnson; Leah Remiker; and Mary Ann King; a sister-in-law: Loretta Weyenberg of Kaukauna, and her dear friends Rose Simon – Kazik and Mary Schaefer, both of Kaukauna. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1995, a brother Melvin (Elizabeth) Trams, and her step-father George Buerth.

The funeral liturgy for Dorothy will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 6, 2003 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Jim Lucas officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the hour of the service.
