Dorothy Eltink

Age 90, passed away Monday, February 05, 2001 at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna. Dorothy was born in Uden, The Netherlands on January 6, 1911, daughter of the late Henry and Johanna (Van Driel) Van Nuland. On June 12, 1934, she married Tony Eltink in Kimberly. He preceded her in death in 1992. Her entire way of life revolved around caring for others. Whether caring for family, friends, or neighbors, her selfless ways will long be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include four daughters: Joan (Robert) Kearn of Amberg, Jean (Francis) Jaeckels of Appleton, Dorothy Vander Velden of Menasha, and Sandy (David) Coenen of Oshkosh; a son: Peter (Mary Ann) Eltink of New Holstein; nine grandchildren: Jennifer Eltink, Tony Eltink, Amy (Mike) Fasthorse, Donald (Minda) Kearn, Peter Kearn, Tony (Lori) Vander Velden, Tom (Kelly) Vander Velden, Pam (Marlyn) Evenson, and Cara Coenen; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters: Marie Bongers of Kimberly and Theresa (Donald) Lamers of Zephyr Hills, Florida; three sisters-in-law: Marie Van Nuland of Kimberly, Laura Van Nuland of Milwaukee, and Nellie Van Nuland of Kimberly. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and by other relatives and many friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tony in 1992, by sisters Catherine (Leo) Vander Putten, Anna (Clarence) Doerfler, and Cora (Bud) Ruppel, and by brothers John Van Nuland, Jacob (Verna) Van Nuland, Harry (Ethel) Van Nuland, Maurice (Loretta) Van Nuland, Mart Van Nuland, and Joseph (Dorothy) Van Nuland.

The funeral liturgy for Dorothy will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, February 8, 2001 at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday at the funeral home from 4 – 8 PM and again Thursday at the church from11 AM until the hour of the liturgy. There will be a parish prayer and scripture service at 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
