Age 86, passed away Friday, September 23, 2005 at Cherry Meadows in Appleton. Dorothy was born in Appleton on September 9, 1919, daughter of the late Richard and Minnie (Weiss) Wenzlaff. On November 25, 1943, she married William C. Haefs; he preceded her in death in June of 1992. For over twenty years the couple farmed in the town of Cicero, then relocated to Black Creek. There, they founded and operated Golden Dairy until 1989.
Dorothy is survived by four children: Judy (Al) Walschinski of Appleton; David (Connie) Haefs of Green Bay; Tim (Tammy) Haefs of Black Creek; Tom (Tricia) Haefs of Appleton; eight grandchildren: Amy (Matt) Tesch, Brad (Jen) Walschinksi, Marsha (Eric) Olson, Greg Haefs and his fiancée Jackie, Jodi Haefs, Trena Haefs, Alayna Haefs, and Ana Haefs; five great-grandchildren: Tyler, Courtney, and Ryan Tesch; and Madison and Brecken Olson; a brother: Victor (Dottie) Wenzlaff of Virginia; a brother-in-law Reinhold Vogt of Sun City, Arizona; and a sister-in-law Frieda Miller of Appleton. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1992, a daughter Gloria Jean, sisters Agnes Vogt and Helen Wenzlaff, brothers Al (Norm) Wenzlaff, Carl (Ruth) Wenzlaff, and Richard Wenzlaff; sisters-in-law Marion Haefs and Hilda Haefs; and a brother-in-law Ray Miller.
Private services will be held for the family, and interment will take place in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
