Age 79, died at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, April 4, 2006. She was born on May 26, 1926 in Merrill, WI daughter of the late Paul and Constance Duginski. On February 16, 1980 she married Jerome “Bud” Nettekoven in Appleton. Dorothy was a life long volunteer at nursing homes and hospitals. She was also involved with the American Auxiliary in Hortonville, and the Homemakers. Cooking, baking, crafting, and especially gardening were among her favorite activities.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 26 years, Bud; children: Jerry (Margaret) Mischke of New London, Jimmy Mischke of Rhinelander, and Michelle (Tim) Diedrick of Combined Locks; her grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Myron (Carol) Duginski of Schofield, Lawrence (Mary) Duginski of Merrill, Ralph Duginski of Merrill, Valrene Behrens, and Helen (Ted) Kolka of Merrill. She is further survived by her stepchildren: Brian (Kelly) Nettekoven, Brenda (Matt) Elliott, and David (special friend, Leah Juhnke) Nettekoven. She is preceded in death by her first husband, James Mischke; children: Carol Ann Mischke and Terry Jean Herber.
The funeral liturgy will be at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2006, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna, with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton.
