Doris Marshall Volk

Doris Marshall Volk, 85, died on Monday July 23, 2007 in Appleton, WI. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on April 30, 1922, the daughter of Frank S. and Eda L. Marshall of Weeping Water, Nebraska. A graduate of Weeping Water High School in 1939 and the University of Nebraska in 1944, she married Raymond E. Volk of Randolph, Nebraska in 1947; he predeceased her in 1994. A resident of Omaha for more than 50 years, Doris was active in a number of organizations, including P.E.O. and especially Dundee Presbyterian Church where she served as elder, deacon, and on the Christian Education Council. In 2000, she moved to Appleton, Wisconsin.
She is survived by two sons, Gary, and daughter- in-law Leanne Volk of Seattle, Washington, and Gregory, and daughter-in-law Margaretta Volk of Appleton, Wisconsin; and seven grandchildren: Benjamin; Maria; Joseph; John, and Eliza Volk of Seattle; Colin Marshall Volk of Chicago, Illinois, and Charlotte Volk of Appleton.
A memorial service will be scheduled at Dundee Presbyterian Church in Omaha. Memorials may be sent to Dundee Presbyterian Church (Omaha); Memorial Presbyterian Church (Appleton) or to the charity of your choice.
