Doris Mae Boehnlein

September 24, 1931 — March 30, 2021

Doris M. Boehnlein, 89, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2021, in her sleep after a battle with cancer. She was born on September 24, 1931, in Darboy, the daughter of John and Ida (Jucken) Wolfinger. After raising 3 boys, Doris went to work at Zwicker Knitting Mills until it closed down. Then she found her passion working as a Walmart greeter. She enjoyed being around people. Her caring and generous heart touched many lives. Doris enjoyed gardening, crafting, baking, and being around her family and friends. She will be missed by everyone that knew her.

Doris is survived by her 3 sons: Ron, Roger (Cindy), and Elroy Boehnlein; 6 grandchildren: Tamara (Brian) Schul, Alissa (Jeremiah) Langford, Brian and Christopher Boehnlein, Luke (Stephanie) and Todd (Melissa) Boehnlein; 12 great grandchildren: Trevor and Hailey Langford, Skyler, Morgan, Mason, Sawyer, and Solomon Schul, Logan and Conner Boehnlein, Lydia and Jordy Boehnlein, and Bella Boehnlein; other relatives and friends.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Elroy; parents; and 8 siblings: Elmer, Eddie, Carl, Theresa, Amelia, Angeline, Loretta, and Jeanette.

Private funeral services will be held for Doris. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Holy Angels Cemetery, Darboy.
