Doris M. Geyer

Doris Geyer, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2006 at Franciscan Care Center in Appleton. She was born in Parshall, North Dakota on August 30, 1920, daughter of the late Claude and Elsie (Totz) Stead. On January 29, 1942, Doris married Robert Geyer in Cheyenne, Wyoming; he preceded her in death in 1995. Both Robert and Doris were avid doll collectors, and together they owned and operated an antique and doll store known as the Hodge Podge.

Doris is survived by a brother: Arden Stead of Appleton, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert in 1995, brothers Mike Stead, Jr. and Lloyd (Jeanette) Stead; by sisters Elaine (Chet) Christian, Janice (William) Dougherty, and Marlene (Phillip) Kottke; and a sister-in-law Eleanor Stead.

Funeral services for Doris will be held on Monday, January 15, 2007 at 7:00 PM at the funeral home chapel with Deacon Rick Simon officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 PM until the hour of the services.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Franciscan Care Center for the wonderful care given to Doris, as well as to all of the caregivers from Aseracare Green Bay, especially Kay, Tammy, and Debbie. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
