Doris Barry

Doris Ethel Florence Barry, age 90 of Appleton passed away on December 10, 2015 at Carolina Manor. Doris was born on February 20, 1925 to William and Matilda (Zander) Bobber. On July 2, 1955 she married John C. Barry at Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton and John preceded her in death on September 10, 2014. She was a longtime member of Mount Olive where she taught Sunday School. She was also active in the church choir and was a member of the Fox Valley Chorale. She worked for 23 years, giving private piano lessons to many area children and in her private time, enjoyed painting.

She will be sadly missed by her son Steven (Charlene) Barry of Winchester, 4 grandchildren: Lisa (Jarret) Ellis, Shannon (Ian) Shettleton, Tiffany (Stefen) King, Chelsea (fiancé Kanen) Barry, 1 great granddaughter Abigail Ellis, nieces Una (Boyd) Snyder and Celia Whitman as well as other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, great-grandson Malik Junaid, brother Clarence Bobber, sisters: Viola Whitman, Verna Tackett and Erna Bobber.

Funeral Services for Doris will be on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, 11:00am at Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran Church, 930 East Florida Avenue in Appleton with Rev. Joel Zank officiating.
