Donna Hebert, 75, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at her home. She was born on April 12, 1943, in Joliet, IL, the daughter of Rudolf and Anna (Macak) Svazich. Donna was united in marriage to James Hebert on July 28, 1962, in Joliet. She and Jim met each other while attending Marquette University, Milwaukee at a St. Patrick’s Day dance. Donna furthered her education, ultimately obtaining her Master’s Degree in Library Science from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. She will be fondly remembered for her great sense of humor, devotion to her children, and her love of shopping with her daughter.
Donna is survived by her husband: Jim; 4 children: Denise (Bill) DeHart, David Hebert, Dan (Liz) Hebert, and Rich (Amy) Hebert; 18 grandchildren; a sister: Marlene (Dennis) Mellinger; many other relatives and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter-in-law: Deanna Hebert.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 S. State St., Appleton, with Fr. Bill Swichtenberg and Msgr. John Schuh officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, on Tuesday at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton, and again on Wednesday at the church from 9:00 am until the time of the Mass.
