DONALD P. FIRD

Age 73, died Sunday, June 17, 2001, at Colony Oaks Care Center. Donald was born on March 4, 1928, in Kimberly to the late Albert and Leora (Albers) Fird. He was a chemist at the Institute of Paper Chemistry for over 37 years and was then employed at Anchor Food Products for the past twelve years. Don served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed fitness and good health during his 73 years. Don appreciated the friendship and support of his “Anchor family.” Funeral services will be at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, Appleton, at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2001. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until the time of services. Don’s friends would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Colony Oaks Health Center and the staff at Theda Clark hospital for their loving care.
