DONALD J. HUHN
Appleton
Age 87, died Monday July 9, 2001. He was born to the late Joseph and Mary (Cloos) on March 10, 1914. Don married the former Gladys Sommers in Las Vegas in 1957. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and will be remembered by friends as a thoughtful, polite and considerate individual. Donald served in the Army during WW II before joining Local Union 669 and working at the National Automatic Sprinkler Co. as a pipefitter. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, the VFW, enjoyed card playing and bowling and watching baseball and football.
He is survived by wife loving wife, Gladys Huhn of Appleton; three grandchildren, David (Mary) Deering of Milwaukee and their children, Jenna and Zachary; Mike (Char) Deering of Florida and their children, Valerie and Paul and Karen Deering of Dallas, TX; and one sister, Dorothy Kronschnabel of Seymour.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Huhn , a daughter in law, Ramona Huhn and a sister Bernice Holcomb.
The Funeral Liturgy will be 10:30 AM Thursday, July 12, 2001 at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 West Lawrence Street, Appleton with Fr. John Holly officiating. Viewing and visitation will be THURSDAY at CHURCH from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
A memorial is being established in Don’s name.
