Age 83, died Friday afternoon, February 13, 2004, at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Home. He was born November 17, 1920, to the late John and Marie (Etten) Hoffman, in Appleton and had been an area resident all of his life. Donald had been employed by Appleton Papers-Locks Mill, for 29 years, retiring in 1980. Survivors include his wife, Mary (Heiss) Hoffman, to whom he had been married for 58 years, a son, Anthony Hoffman, Oshkosh; two daughters, Leah Hoffman, Fairfield, CA; Amy Hoffman, Yellow Knife, NT, Canada and her daughter, Anne Marie Morin, Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario, Canada; a sister, Ruth Petrie, Menasha; a niece, Lollie (Tony) Eskofski; two nephews, Alfred E. Petrie, Jr; Ronald J. Petrie; a sister-in-law, Edie Heiss; a brother-in-law, Tom Heiss. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Warren Sager. There will be no services.
The family would like to thank the staff of Oakridge Gardens Nursing Home and Dr. Albert Gadowski, for their loving care and support.
