Donald G. Krull

Donald Gene Krull, age 89, of Appleton, WI, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.
He was survived by his wife Arlene Krull (Woldt); his children Tim (Debra) Krull, Vicki (Gary) Nackers, Sharon Krull, and Julie (John) Miller; his grandchildren Ashley Groves, Michael Nackers, Kaitlyn Krull, Caroline Krull, and Abigail Krull; his three great grandchildren; his sister Norma Gavronski, and his brother-in-law Stanley (Sandy) Woldt.
Preceeding him in death are his grandchildren Charlie Miller and Andrew Miller; his parents Erie and Mary Krull; his siblings, Nola (Tom) Wolf, Edwin Krull, and Keith (Sylvia) Krull, and brother-in-laws George Gavronski and Ervin Woldt.
Donald was born in Trenton, OH, on August 5, 1932. He graduated from Bonduel High School in 1950. He was a star athlete in track, football, basketball, and baseball. Upon graduation, Donald entered the U.S. Marine Corp. serving in the Korean War. For his heroic achievement in connection with military operations, Donald was awarded The Bronze Star medal for bravery and courage and the Combat “V” medal for Valor. He achieved the ranking of Master Sargent. He worked as an offset pressman for American Can Company in Neenah, WI.
On September 14, 1957, he married Arlene Woldt and was blessed with 64 years of marriage. They enjoyed and shared their life-long love of polka dancing until his last years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and in his earlier years, baseball.
A memorial service for Donald will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri-County Chapel, 1592 Onieda St., Menasha, WI. Visitation will commence at 9 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association.
